Replacing a RAS/WAS WWTP pump

Customer seeking repair and/or replacement of the existing RAS/WAS pumps. The cost and lead time for parts or a replacement pump was excessive.

RPS recommended an ABS XFP 4” 5HP-1200rpm vertically mounted dry-pit pump. The pump was mounted on the existing elbow/stand and minimal discharge modifications were necessary.

Customer stated:

“The new pump runs VERY quiet and cool. The performance of this replacement pump has convinced us to replace the two remaining RAS/WAS pumps with the same SULZER ABS pump.”
