North Idaho Odor Control problems solved
This Sewer District suffered from residence complaints over odor for a long time. In the past they used carbon filters with marginal results with ongoing complaints. They were changing the carbon media every year. Their collections system is very old with very long force main runs and retention time issues that can not be solved (large area with one WWTP at one end of the system).
RPS was giving an opportunity to prove the Syneco Peacemaker odor control system would not only solve their odor problems, but extend their media replacement to many more years. They purchased two units as an experiment, and after the tougher summer season, the Sewer District is ecstatic with the results. The RPS Territory Manager, almost fell down with the H2S odor coming out of the wetwell, but with a fresh smell coming out of the Syneco system. The lift stations utilize Sulzer-ABS pumps from 3 to 28HP.
(From Maintenance Supervisor) The first Syneco system we installed instantly solved our problem. We put the other one on a lesser problem. Then our worst odor lift station failed again, and we decided to move the 2nd unit to this LS, not expecting it could handle it (it wasn’t designed for the larger wetwell). We were pleasantly surprised that it completely eliminated the odor and all of our existing complaints have stopped. We are very pleased with the results. Thank you.
