Making a Pump Station Non-Intrusive and Very Quiet
A Developer of high end homes was concerned that a traditional wastewater pump station design would affect his sales at the entrance to his development. They also needed it to be quiet as the station would be installed next the their new clubhouse, and homes.
RPS recommended Usemco’s partial bury packaged pump station, called the Elite. It partial buries the equipment and generator, letting the earth do the noise abatement. It also does not require confined-space entry permits and only rises 4ft out of the ground for easy concealment. Two more complete stations were installed in the town in later years. – Denville, NJ
Developers Regional Mngr stated:
“This is the way to do a pump station. I am going to recommend this style of pump station and your company on all future pump station work we do.” “Can you do these in water booster stations too?”
Yes.
